The protagonists of Troika are Andrea (a child), her dog, and Francisca, a domestic worker who has fled her past to rebuild her life in another city. One extraordinary day, the lives of the three will change forever.

In the first part of this story, we are privy to an account of a childhood sustained by people and animals outside the family tree. In the second, in a home furnished by tradition and tenderness, care and memory, death irrupts with a moving naturalness.
