The present book focuses on the study of Mexican cities from the perspective of socio-territorial phenomena to analyze the significant differences in the perception of their inhabitants' quality of life based on urban form and the main characteristics of public space from an interdisciplinary approach.
The creation of cities after modernity includes the emergence of metropolitan areas. These areas impact both the form of cities and the way people live and interact in them, which especially refers to urban quality of life.
Currently, it is urgent to determine the factors that make up urban space in order to generate programs and public policies that coincide with and cover the real needs of Mexican cities and their metropolitan areas, with the aim of promoting more competitive and sustainable cities.
