PANORAMA, Lisa Mouchet

Panorama takes its readers on a polychromatic journey through the territories of Quebec with illustrations and photographs rendered in bright inks with risograph printing. Lisa Mouchet successfully blurs the line between the real and the imaginary, optimizing photographs with jewel-toned coloring and sketching nature scenes in neon hues. Yet, despite the joyful feeling of the color palette, the images share a solitary theme in their subject matter: empty landscapes and quiet villages. As a result, Panorama becomes an exploration of solo travel and the solitude, whether desired or not, that comes with it.
