Beauty and the Beast— Disney

An ancestral fable...Belle wants much more than a provincial life. In the village of Villeneuve, she stands out from others because of her way of thinking, her tenacious independence, and her love for books, and she dreams of traveling and having adventures as exciting as those she reads about.

When her beloved father is taken prisoner in an enchanted castle, her life takes an unexpected turn. Disregarding her future or her freedom, she takes her father's place, secretly promising to escape. But, as she gets to know the castle and the Beast who inhabits it, Belle realizes that this story is much more than she could have imagined.
