Random Haikus— Alex Romero

This book is an exploration of haiku poetry and the cut-up technique, a method that involves taking a printed text, cutting it up, and then rearranging the pieces to create a new text. Inspired by haiku masters such as Bashō and Issa and by the Beat poets, Alex Romero takes 44 haikus and randomly combines lines from different poems to create unique verses that reveal unexpected meanings. Similar to the creative process of Brion Gysin and William Burroughs, this book becomes a tool for experimentation, where chance and poetry intertwine, offering a fresh and meditative perspective on this traditional poetic form.
