In "Protected Area," the time for denial is over: characters fall ill from contaminated water, disease-free animals are scarce, and all species are at risk due to the effects of climate change or the invasion of artificial intelligence.
The end of the world is a reality. That's why The Community, a group made up of young environmentalists, adults with alternative spiritual proposals, children, and pets, has settled in a natural park in the Amazon. The government, however, which previously used this territory for environmental tourism by promoting the sighting of animals that are actually holograms and favoring mining extractivism, wants to evict them.
Amidst the desperate search for solutions that each member of The Community has, the political polarization of the city, and the imminent collapse of Earth, "Protected Area" creates a world where life overflows into political conflict and despair, but also into hope and life after life.
